CONFERENCIAS INTERNACIONALES SOBRE MATEMÁTICA Y DISEÑO
El objetivo
fundamental de estas conferencias trianuales es congregar matemáticos,
arquitectos, ingenieros, diseñadores y científicos de diferentes
áreas del conocimiento, interesados en la intersección entre
Matemática y Diseño, donde la palabra "Diseño"
se entiende en su sentido más amplio: un Diseño es un recurso
proyectual que constituye un elemento básico en la comunicación
interdisciplinaria humana, sea ésta de índole arquitectónica,
gráfica, visual, sonora o de cualquier otro tipo simple o combinado

Internacional M&D-2004
The Fourth International Conference brings together mathematicians, engineers,
architects, designers and scientists of different areas of knowledge interested
in the interaction between Mathematics and Design.
The role of mathematics as a designing tool is of great interest for many
professionals and institutions not only in the architectural or engineering
fields but in many others such as textile, jewelry, sound and music, decoration
and art. There is a considerable amount of expertise about this subject,
which would be very important to share among those working in the different

The

fue co-organizada por el Departamento de Matemática Aplicada, Universidad
del País Vasco, España y el Centro de Matemática
& Diseño. Se realizó en San Sebastián, España,
del 1 al 4 de Junio de 1998
Los Proceedings de esta segunda conferencia M&D-98 fueron publicados
por la Universidad del País Vasco e incluyeron 76 artículos,
ISBN 84-600-9459-6.

The First
International Conference on Mathematics & Design M&D-95, fue organizada
por el Centro de Matemática y Diseño MAyDI cuya directora
es la Dra. Vera W. de Spinadel, Facultad of Arquitectura, Diseño
y Urbanismo de la Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Tuvo lugar del
23 al 27 de octubre de 1995 en Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Los Proceedings de M&D-95 incluyeron 8 conferencias plenarias y 28
artículos, habiendo sido publicados por la Facultad de Arquitectura,
